The South Lodge Hotel is an attractive Victorian Town House centrally located with a ten minute walk from Chelmsford Town Centre and the County Cricket ground. Only a short distance from the A12 and 14 miles from the M25, the Hotel is ideal for business and leisure travellers alike.

The Hotel has recently changed hands and is now part of the BBSS Group. We are running under new management and have recently changed our restaurant name. The Garden Restaurant, which overlooks our beautiful garden, now offers a full A La Carte Menu and Table d’horte Menu for our residents. During the warmer months you can enjoy al fresco dining, shaded by our large umbrellas, or just relax with a cold drink from our Bar, underneath the grape vine.

Our bar is an ideal for an informal meeting or just to catch up with friends. A full bar menu is available for light snacks and meals, as well as morning and afternoon tea.  

For private dining or business meetings, the South Lodge offers several separate rooms which creates the perfect venue for either a celebratory meal or that all important board meeting.
